Taking Part

Sandown Carnival’s events are all about getting involved! Whether in our summer parades, the regatta or as volunteers to help us raise funds and make sure everything runs smoothly.

Parades

We welcome entries for our annual Main Carnival, Children's Carnival and Illuminated Carnival which take place in July and August. If you have an idea for a float or walking entry, you can find our rules and guidance here. Please contact us for any further information.

Sandown Carnival Participation Fund

We offer grants of up to £300 towards the costs of your parade entry. You can complete or download an application here for consideration by the Carnival Committee (applications for 2023 are now open).

Carnival Royalty

Every Spring, entrants aged 8-17 are invited to attend our selection evening to become a member of our Sandown Carnival Royalty for the year. Look out for details on our Sandown Carnival Facebook page.

Sandown Bay Regatta

The annual Regatta takes place over a weekend in August, with activities on the shore, the water and in the town. Check out the Sandown Carnival Facebook page for more information as the Regatta weekend approaches.
