Carnival Development Fund 2012

Each year Sandown Carnival sets aside a proportion of its donations to distribute to worthy causes in the town, specifically to help them realise their carnival-related projects. Groups may apply for grants towards the costs of materials, artists, training, research and development, venue hire, rental costs, instruments and props etc.. The aim is to improve the content of our carnivals for everyone's enjoyment, and over the past few years there have been some very notable entries which may not have happened without our direct support.

THIS YEAR'S DEADLINE HAS NOW PASSED

The cut-off date for applications was Friday 27th April. Successful parties will be contacted shortly.

Last year's successful applications (2011)

- The Pink Ladies gave us fun, tutus and LOTS of PINK to promote the fun everyone can have getting fit with running

- The Bay CE Primary School - their first application as a newly amalgamated school and the first external project in which both sites worked collaboratively and creatively

- The Wight Strollers - the fabulous Prancing on Ice dancing penguin routines were one of the highlights of Carnival 2011!

- Brading WI - celebrated their 90th birthday with a memorable trip through the ages for women

- The Williams Family who took us on a trip around the world
