Keeping Carnival Going.

Fundraising is a very important aspect of Carnival, without it Carnival simply wouldn't exist. We have seen in recent years island carnivals stop completely through lack of funds. In Sandown there is a strong community spirit, and our jumble sales and coffee mornings are very popular.

Christmas Bazaar

A big thank you to everyone who came to our Christmas Bazaar. We raised £186 which goes straight to next years carnival events. We hope everyone enjoyed the day.

Coffee Morning.

Another big thank you to Culver Lodge Hotel and everyone who came to the coffee morning on Wednesday 31st April. We raised £101 which goes straight into this years carnival events. We hope everyone enjoyed the morning and will come again to the next one.

Jumble Sale.

We held a jumble sale at St. Johns Annex on Saturday 24th April which raised £148. Tea/coffee and cakes were available and we would like to thank everyone who helped and visited. Our jumble sales have always been hugely popular and hope that the success continues. We will have a wide range of items for sale at very cheap prices.

Carnival Shop.

Our new shop is now open and doing very well at 3 Melville street, Sandown. Pop in and have a look around the new shop with a very fun and friendly atmosphere. The shop relies on donations so if you are having a clear out of toys, clothes or even electrical goods please drop them in to our shop.

Hoop-La.

Our hoop-la stall came out on Christmas Eve Fun Day in Sandown. It was another huge success. We charged 20p for three hoops and had a large number of prizes to give away. Everyone who took part got some sweets. We opened the stall at 10.30 and by 2.30 all our prizes were won and we had raised £220. We will be back again this summer on the main carnival day for more hoop-la fun.
