Beginner?

If this is the first time you've heard of RSS, don't worry... it's all quite straightforward. RSS is a way for approved content publishers (like us) to push information to subscribers (like you). News articles and other carnival-related information will automatically appear in your reader - in most cases this will appear either as a Web Favourite or as a folder in Outlook or Outlook Express. There are also dedicated RSS reader products available. Many informational websites now offer RSS and once you start looking for them you'll wonder how you ever managed without it!

There's a great introduction with more background reading HERE

Outlook User?

Outlook is probably the most sensible place to consolidate your RSS feeds - they appear as just another folder and you're informed when new messages arrive in exactly the same way as with new emails

Open Outlook and in your folder list Right-Click on RSS Feeds and select "Add a new RSS feed".

Next copy and paste (or re-key) our RSS address shown above into the box and click OK. That's all there is to it!!

RSS Reader Software

There are lots of good free RSS reader packages available - a quick google will show up several. We like RSS Reader which works on Windows 98/NT/ME/2000/2003/XP and Vista. If you're a Mac OSX user, Shrook is a good free product. And if you're a Linux user, you probably don't need our help to find a suitable tarball!
