Information on our 3 events and how to take part.

Children's Procession:

•     Tuesday 29th July 2008.
•     Assemble at Sandham Gardens - 13.45.
•     Procession Moves off at 14.15
•     Route takes approximately 3/4 hour to complete.
•     Route - meet at Sandham Gardens, Culver Parade, High Street, Pier Street, Esplanade. Finish at Eastern Gardens for judging and prize giving.

Main Procession:

•     Wednesday 30th July 2008.
•     Line up between 17:00 & 18:00.
•     Judging 18:00 - 18:50.
•     Procession Moves off at 19:00
•     Route takes approximately 1 hour to complete.

Illuminated Procession:

•     Wednesday 27th August 2008.
•     Line up between 19:00 & 20:00.
•     Judging 20:00 & 20:50.
•     Procession moves off at 21:00.
•     Route takes approximately 1 hour to complete.

Who can take part?

    Absolutely anybody, if you or your family want to have some fun, think of a theme and turn up on the night, float or fancy dress/costume. Businesses can use the procession as an excellent promotional platform, handing out fliers and displaying their business to virtually the entire population of Sandown. Clubs take part to help children expand their creativeness and recruit new members. Schools integrate lessons and after school clubs into the curriculum promoting art, design technology and citizenship. If you or your friends want to take part, just think of an idea, turn up on the night and have some fun - you won't regret it!
